Our Purpose

Hearts for New Hope, Inc. was formed in July 2016. It is a non-profit ministry formed exclusively as a charitable and educational organization within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, for the following purposes: to provide relief of the poor, and underprivileged in Dolo Town, Liberia, by acquiring and transferring charitable gifts to New Hope Mission, International, a non-governmental agency (NGO), for such things as food, clothing, shelter and education; and (b) to engage in any other related activities which are not inconsistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and applicable state law.

Our Board of Directors

This non-profit organization is governed by a Board of Directors which is granted all the rights, powers, privileges and limitations of liability of directors of a non-profit corporation (organized under the Non-Profit Corporation Act of Maryland). The Board has the responsibility to adopt policies and procedures that advance its purpose, and which are in keeping with both state and federal law that governs a non-profit charity.

Our 1st Grant Distribution

Education Hearts for New Hope has elected to award its first grant ($6,000) to support New Hope Community School (a PreK-12 private Christian school). This grant makes it possible for this struggling West African private school to operate for the 2016-17 school year; the educational grant provides support for eight licensed teachers and two administrators, serving an enrollment of approximately 180, with an average class size of 15 students.Short Description

Reports & Accountability

Grants and funding from Hearts for New Hope require Board satisfactory accountability and reporting, appropriate to each funded project. For example, the Dolo Town school project (for 2016-17) requires signed documentation of funds disbursed, verified; as well as submitting to the Board several progress reports, documenting the project during the funding period.
